A Place for spending time, time for a shave, tea, talking, a place for the men of the family, friendship, to talk about old times. Generation of families have there traditional barber shop days.
Serena first discovered the barbershop experience while traveling in Turkey, a haircut and a shoulder massage, and a conversation began. Now three years later Serena has had many a conversation with the barber, from Turkey to Egypt, through South East Asia, then India, to Nepal, Australia and her home country New Zealand.
As a woman the environment has been unfamiliar, but very approachable. “Conversation with the Barber”, has a few more countries to visit, Serena’s completion of this project will be published as a book.
